Accounts Payable Team Leader Europe (f/m) - 112671
As Accounts Payable Leader you are member of the Shared Services Leadership Team and will have operational responsibility for a designated team with the European Service Centre (EASC) as well as providing day to day leadership serving the European business functions.
In this role you will be responsible for delivering performance and team results in line with the service level targets, compliant with accounting principles after HGB and US-GAAP and Gore policies across EMEA. The team consists of 3 regional groups who cover the many service areas including Invoice Scanning/Pre Processing, Invoice Processing, Payments and Travel Expenses Reimbursement.
In addition, you will work closely with purchasing, the general ledger team, as well as financial analysts and auditors. With your natural leadership skills and a good portion of empathy you will ensure performance goals as well as needs of the individual associates are managed and balanced. Additional tasks include: ensuring tight financial controls, reports and spot checks are in place and executed to continuously review accounting integrity and compliance and coordinating any system requirements with IT that may create enhancements to the finance system addressing improvement needs and opportunities.
Ideally the successful candidate has the following profile:- Finance qualification with Accounting and Tax relevance
- Minimum of 5 years experience in finance / accounting roles desirably in leadership positions
- Experience in the purchase to pay process ideally within a shared services organisation
- Iin depth accounting knowledge within accounts payable (e.g. HGB, other local GAAP).
- US GAAP or IFRS is an asset
- Knowledge in EU Tax regulations
- ERP system knowledge
- Proven leadership skills and experience with intercultural teams
- Excellent communication and organisation skills
- English and fluent German, other language skills would be an asset
