Type of contract: Full-Time Regular
Location: Poznan Details: - Administering Global Backup Infrastructure, restoring systems after failure, assisting in the recovery of user data which has been incorrectly deleted and monitoring and remediation of daily backups
- Troubleshooting and addressing root cause of backup failures
- Participate in a shift rotation to ensure continuous cover and support for supported backup environments
- Providing support for projects and programs within GSK
- Escalation and Communication of issues to senior analysts
- Manage and resolve Remedy Tickets (Help Desk call handling software) pertaining to incidents, problems and requests on backup systems
- This position involves interaction with local markets and with global teams of administrators
- Ensure all changes made to backup systems are developed and implemented as per GSK policy and that the qualification status of supported components is maintained throughout the life cycle of the infrastructure
- Ensure a high level of security, including confidentiality, availability and integrity of the managed systems and the data processed on those systems is maintained
- Being ready to provide support by telephone, email or provide direct IT support to global GSK markets, GSK Help Desk and GSK Service Management according to the schedule defined by the employer
- Establish, maintain and undertake training on technical standards, policies and procedures as required by employer
Basic qualifications:
- Degree or academic course without a degree in IT or business related
- Knowledge of Veritas NetBackup (using SAN media servers and Shared Storage Option (SSO)), Veritas Vault, EMC Avamar, Data Domain and Data Protection Advisor (DPA)
- Strong server and OS administration skills
- Ability to work as part of a multi-cultural team
- Basic understanding of ITIL processes and procedures
- Customer focused – ability to communicate effectively with both internal and external customers and vendors.

Optional qualifications:
- BackupExec, PureDisk, along with UNIX shell scripting, and Disaster Recovery
- Knowledge of backup hardware and related technologies
- Knowledge of VMware ESX technology
