Business Analyst

This position is suited for highly talented, motivated, and results-oriented professionals with drive, determination, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team-oriented environment. The position provides the opportunity to develop foundational consulting skills working alongside senior consulting staff and subject matter experts. You will work on a variety of challenging assignments to assist public sector clients achieve their performance goals and better serve the public. Our team is dedicated to ensuring that entry-level staff builds a solid foundation for success through serving a diverse client base, playing an integral role on our project teams, partaking in practice development activities, and learning about PCG’s culture and values.

Typical responsibilities may include:

  • Developing functional specifications documenting new features to enhance functionality of a web-based tool to manage individual education plans for students with special learning needs
  • Using technical acuity to define business requirements, test system functionality, and implement innovative web-based applications with leading clients
  • Assisting with the preparation of materials for training seminars
  • Working with clients to provide training on PCG systems and services
  • Providing services to schools in the areas of special education management systems, data warehousing, data analytics, and school finance/restructuring 
  • Developing presentations for and attending conferences/seminars 
  • Participating on proposal development teams, including writing sections, coordinating efforts and preparing proposal submissions
  • Creating project plans, managing agendas, capturing meeting notes, and preparing and presenting written status reports for clients
  • Providing project management support to more senior project team members
  • Defining, documenting and proposing suggested means to improving business processes
  • Conducting policy reviews and other research
  • Gathering and analyzing data

Required Skills include:

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to research, analyze and organize data.
  • Ability to articulate business requirements into functional system requirements.
  • Excellent ability to build and maintain business relationship with clients by providing prompt and accurate service.

  • Excellent organizational, oral presentation and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, presentation, and time management skills
  • Strong Polish and English skills, both written and spoken
  • Flexibility to travel and balance workload to meet client and team needs
  • A commitment to deliver exceptional client service and contribute in a team environment
  • A detail-oriented problem solving approach to business issues
  • Self-starter possessing intellectual curiosity
  • Proven ability to take initiative and move daily work forward
  • Good judgment in completing tasks and in seeking guidance when needed
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Access, PowerPoint, Excel and Word. Additional technology experience using SQL or other Databases, Financial and/or Accounting Systems is beneficial
  • Attitude of taking initiative, enthusiasm, and eagerness to learn
  • Enthusiasm for life-long learning and staying well-informed about current business and policy issues
  • Core interest in finance, education, health care, government, or public consulting


Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Experience in education, health care or human services preferred.
