Contract/Revenue Analyst
(German Speaker)

The Business Analyst (BA) is responsible for the financial control function at the deal initiation stage through to point of order acceptance. Based at Hitachi Data Systems’ Finance Shared Service Centre (“FSSC”) in Krakow, this role provides revenue recognition expertise and advice on deal structuring for the country / district. The BA will be responsible also for ensuring compliance with Hitachi Data Systems’ revenue recognition policies.

The BA will support the lead negotiator, customer facing representatives of HDS, and primary decision makers for all sales related contracts, including Master Product, Maintenance/Support and Professional Services contracts. As such, this function provides the primary interface between local country organizations and the FSSC for all deal related matters. The BA will seek advice from General Counsel when necessary on all non-standard contractual issues.

Support to the sales force and sales management through proper deal structuring and expertise of accounting, contracts and revenue recognition is a key feature of this role. In addition, you will provide local country management with deal status and figures to ensure complete and accurate forecasts, and for purposes of analysis of country / territory performance.

You will ensure compliance with all Deal Management Process approvals (both local and EMEA Deal Review Board), SOX requirements and HDS policies regarding sales transactions. This should include consistent software maintenance and GSS pricing (VSOE). From time to time, you will be required to support HDS’ internal and external financial and Sarbanes Oxley deal related audits.

Chartered Accountant/CIMA/ACCA qualified, you’ll have experience of working directly with multiple countries and cultures in a finance capacity. You will have knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley compliance requirements and US GAAP revenue recognition principles. Experience of Oracle Financials will also be an advantage.
