to join the Finance & Accounting insource organization supporting the State Street EMEA


Purpose of the Position:

This position offers an opportunity to work in the financial reporting department of a leading fund administrator.


Responsibilities:

  • Prepare template financial statements for annual and interim cycle using the standard operating procedure.
  • Prepare and complete first draft of audited annual and unaudited interim financial statements from trial balance, including Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Schedule of Investments, notes to financial statements.
  • Prepare audit files and in line with standard operating procedure.
  • Prepare reconciliations in line with standard operating procedure. (book cost, capital gain and capital stock)
  • Process changes accurately to financial statements as communicated by SSIIL staff
  • Work to tight deadlines in order to meet clients reporting timelines
  • Maintain and develop relationships with Financial Reporting in Ireland.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate with an accounting qualification or partly qualified with recognised financial accounting qualification. 
  • Experience within the funds industry would be a distinct advantage
  • Aptitude for figures
  • Good communication and writing skills
  • Fluent in English (German would be an asset)
  • PC literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Have a thorough understanding of basic accounting principles together
  • Have an enquiring mind and a willingness to investigate and solve problems
  • Experience of working to deadlines
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills
  • Quick in thinking, reflection and execution
