Praca Investment Guidelines Monitoring Team Leader

The Investment Restrictions / Guideline Monitoring Team (IGM) is responsible for the successful implementation and ongoing maintenance of guideline monitoring and surveillance system for discretionary investment management accounts (institutional and funds). The team loads and maintains all client accounts on the system and ensures the coding, maintenance and monitoring of alerts of the system. 

The role incumbent will be a part of IGM team located inKrakow,Polandthat will provide business support services to the Zürich (Switzerland) IGM team accounts.,. The role has two main responsibilities, coding of new accounts or recoding of existing accounts and managing the daily review of guideline breach incidents.

• Acting as a point of contact for escalated issues as and when they arise
• Team management
• Helping other team members prioritize daily tasks
• Performing detailed analysis of client Investment Management Agreements (legal documents) and seeking clarification of guidelines from the subject matter experts (via onshore colleagues) where necessary
• Performing similar analysis of the data requirements of guideline monitoring and surveillance system
• Interpreting these guidelines and translating them into format that can then be coded onto system, using template if such exist for group of accounts sharing characteristics
• Attach tests (rules) to coded account and document/update accordingly all knowledge repositories and workflow tools that form part of the process chain
• Ongoing maintenance of the system throughout the duration of the implementation and beyond
• Testing of all rules prior to going live (includes investigation and resolution of all breaches that occur in relation to newly coded/recoded and tested accounts)
• Contribution to the construction of procedures and controls in relation to the Investment Guidelines Monitoring team

• Team player who keeps colleagues informed of developments and works collaboratively
• An effective verbal and written communicator
• Fluent in English is a must, intermediate German would be a plus
• Experience in a financial services environment, preferably within Asset Management or in a legal/regulatory/data management environment highly appreciated
• An understanding of financial instruments data and attributes is preferable
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products as well as good general IT abilities, coding experience appreciated
