Job Description

The primary purpose of the Network Engineer – Voice Specialist is to provide technical support on such network and voice appliances as call managers, communication servers, call center systems, voice applications, voice gateways, voice gatekeepers, IP phones, hardphones, softphones,. This support is provided to a large number of Atos Origin customers ensuring that the service meets or exceeds the established Service Level Agreements and quality standards.

This role is in Network Infrastructure and Communications unit, which is part of the Network and Security Services unit within Managed Operations. The Network Infrastructure and Communications unit is comprised of a team of experienced Network Engineers who provide second level support services to a large variety of Atos Origin customers all over the world.

Technical Competencies

  • Good knowledge and experience of networking and voice services
  • Good knowledge of the physical configuration of IT systems
  • Experience of a client / server environment
  • Skills and experience in one or more of the following technical areas:
    - network configurations and protocols,
    - hardware technologies,
    - operating systems,
    - database systems,
  • Ability to structure and draft technical documentation



Essential Qualifications:

  • English at least on upper-intermediate level
  • Good skills in VoIP technologies (IP PBX, IP Telephony, voicemails, call controls, SIP, QoS)
  • Cisco CCNA (or equivalent) qualification
  • Experience in networking and voice
  • Linux"Unix foundations

Additional Information:

  • Knowledge or experience in voice systems (call managers, communication servers, call center systems, voice applications, voice gateways, voice gatekeepers, IP phones, hardphones, softphones) 
  • Knowledge or experience in systems: Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Call Manager Express, Cisco IPCC Express, Cisco Unity Express , Mitel, Asterisk, Avaya
  • Cisco CCVP (or the equivalent) qualification
  • Knowledge in management network tools
  • Second foreign language (French or German)
