Due to our continued growth we are seeking to expand our polish team with an:

Origin Management/Commodity Code Manager
(Placed in: Kraków)

As a Commodity Code Manager you will be reporting directly to the Manager of the Procurement Back Office and supporting the strategic activities of the Switzerland based central procurement and logistics organizations. The Origin Management role is responsible for:

  • Owning/defining  the origin management function for externally sourced products as well
    as internally manufactured products.
  • Defining the process for data maintenance and data cleansing.
  • For externally sourced goods: obtaining long term supplier declarations, communications with vendors.
  • For internally produced goods: define countries of origin and relevant free trade agreements, create product groups (4-digit code) commodity codes and define origin criteria to be met.
  • Defining logic for origin determination per product group (commodity code level).
  • Developing process for data archiving and documentary proof.
  • Acting as focal point for audit/review with customs, negotiating with customs authorities and interacting with local authorities if and when necessary.
  • In close cooperation with our Export Department, maximize the benefits of import tax reductions by demonstrating EU origin of goods.

 

The ideal candidate should fulfill the following requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in origin management roles.
  • Good understanding of EU/non-EU customs processes, knowledge of VAT.
  • 1-2 years working experience in SAP environment, knowledge of MM,SD and LES modules an asset.
  • Proficiency skills in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Fluency in English is a must, any other European language will be an asset.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work in virtual team.
  • Time management skills, the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Demonstrated success in cross-regional and cross functional projects and/or initiatives.
