MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Sourcing of innovative packaging and liquid technology solutions.
• Optimise the value of external suppliers to provide best solutions and maximise asset performance.

• Provide problem solving at a very high level providing permanent and lasting results. 

• Work closely with the production Team Leader to drive improved asset performance and focus on continuous improvement.

• Create a safety culture among employees, which results in a full adherence to policy and achievement of safety KPI’s within Operations.

• Provide the engineering specialist support to the business to ensure our plant and equipment is best fit for purpose, is maintained to the highest standard and operates at minimum downtime levels.

• Working with the training function, lead the craft development and upskilling programme so they acquire the necessary skills to provide the technical expertise to enable the line teams achieve their KPI’s.

• Manage a team of craft personnel - Coach and support team members through regular performance conversations and the development planning process to grow in their jobs taking on a broader range of responsibilities with the aim of realising their full potential.

REQUIREMENTS: 

• Qualified Engineer with 5 – 10 years Packaging experience.

• Further qualifications or professional development in areas such as project management, change/programme management and preventative maintenance desireable.

• Experienced team manager.

• Strong communication and teamworking skills.

• Flexible approach with good problem solving abilities.
