Praca Purchase and Logistics Manager

Key Role: Responsible for building up a Purchase Department and setting up procedures. The role is   reporting to the Production Manager, but cooperating also with Quality Department. The ideal candidate must have extreme focus on achievement of business goals. We are looking for a manager who is able to be a leader and motivator for a small team

Responsibilities:

Purchasing
- Making purchase orders and daily following up on suppliers to assure the parts arrive on time in the right quality. - Everything to assure a Shipping performance of minimum 98% on time and better quality and lower cost.
- Update the master data in the ERP system
        - Safety stock
        - Delivery time & minimum order sizes
        - Prices & Payment terms

Management control of the stock, incl. minimizing of the stock

Finding new suppliers or improve the cooperation with current suppliers due to:
  - Better quality, better prices or smaller deliveries
  - Negotiating agreements with the suppliers and making sure, that the procedures are being followed

Accepting and controlling invoices and updating prices

Improving and organizing purchase department

Requirements:

Experience with purchasing

Knowledge of APICS is much desired.

Experience with dealing with master data (safety stock, delivery time)

Experience in price negotiations with suppliers

Experience or knowledge of ERP/MRPII Navision will be an advantage

Knowledge of quality and furniture's will be an advantage

Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing will be an advantage

Ability to work independently as well as a team leader

Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Good command of MS Office
