Praca Senior Financial Reporting Accountant

to join the Finance & Accounting insource organization supporting the State Street EMEA

Purpose of the Position:

Reporting to a manager in Poland, this position offers an opportunity for the successful candidate to develop their existing knowledge of financial accounting with a leading fund administrator

Responsibilities:

• Prepare template financial statements for annual and interim cycle
• Prepare and complete first draft of audited annual and unaudited interim financial statements from trial balance, including Profit and Loss Account, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Schedule of Investments, notes to financial statements
• Process changes accurately to financial statements as communicated by SSIIL staff
• Review financial statements to ensure they are complete and accurate
• Work to tight deadlines in order to meet clients reporting lines
• Train, coach and instruct junior staff in the department

Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in a financial reporting environment or 2 years funds experience
• Qualified or partly qualified with a recognised accounting qualification.

• Aptitude for figures
• Good communication and writing skills
• Fluent in English (German would be an asset)
• PC literate with excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
• Have a thorough understanding of basic accounting principles together
• Have an enquiring mind and a willingness to investigate and solve problems
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues at all levels
• Ability to delegate work to junior staff in the department
• Experience of working to deadlines
