Praca Trade Confirmation and Settlements Manager – Middle Office

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Investment Administration Services Operations unit that supports outsourcing initiatives for Asset Managers. Section Manager of Trade Confirmations and Settlements ensures that all equity and fixed income transactions are settled in the markets and that the various stakeholders are appropriately involved.  

Since 2003 Global Transaction Services have engaged in several outsourcing initiatives with Asset Managers and the area is continuing to grow and expand significantly. Middle Office works closely with the Asset managers, Brokers, Custodians and Fund Accountants to support the confirmation and settlement of capital/money market transactions of asset managers & ensures that these enter appropriately into fund valuation. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Organize and lead migration of Trade Confirmation and Settlements from US to Poland
• Confirm and Settle Capital Market transactions on behalf of Clients (Equity, Fixed income) for US market – please note the role requires US working hours from 2pm to 11pm CET
• Managing team leader and staff with total staff of approximately 20+ people
• Appraisal and development discussions and active support during business as usual
• Active management through goals, key performance and quality indicators
• Capacity management and dynamic prioritization
• Continual review of processes to highlight opportunities for improvement and efficiencies
• Minimize  operational risk through appropriate quality control, procedures etc.
• Work with the  Implementation team, Product and Clients’ to understand existing processes  and business requirements and aid the successful implementation of new clients, products to the IAS platform;
• Assist with the migration process to transition existing workflows to the IAS  platform;
• Provide support in recruitment and training new members of the team;
• Maintain working relationship with Oversights and external Client

The successful candidate should have a broad range of security product knowledge and be numerate, computer literate with the ability to understand new systems quickly. You should have experience in leading teams through dynamic growth and delivering saves.

Required Skills:  

• Project management skills, migration experience a plus
• Knowledge of Standard Settlement Instructions and Alert is a plus
• Significant  industry experience within Financial Markets and a varied knowledge would  be preferable
