Your responsibilities

  • As a 3D Designer and Houdini expert your objective will be to lead the creative execution and technical decisions of new ideas. You will be a central piece when it comes to taking our 3D and motion capabilities to the next level by developing tasteful, nuanced and hyper-realistic 3D graphics.

  • You will work as part of a team of talented junior and 3D motion designers based in Krakow and Amsterdam, and will be supported by an incredibly experienced 3D Team Lead.

  • Your role will require a good amount of cross team collaboration, based on good energies, positive attitude and direct communication with Graphic Designers, Art Directors, UX designers, Experiential Designers, Creative Directors, Project Managers, as well as clients.

  • We run in a supportive community environment, so this role will require someone with a nurturing side, willing to help out other designers and collaborators, and look out for the team, imparting knowledge and mentoring those you work with. At the same time, you will have regular 1:1’s with your team leader to help you overcome challenges and gain confidence as part of a personalised development path.

Our requirements

  • You’ll bring a balance of technical and creative 3D experience, an impeccable taste for 3D aesthetics, problem-solving ideas, positive energy in your approach and excellent spoken and written communication skills (English is a must).

  • Your portfolio demonstrates an amazing body of work with a process-focused approach. A mix of commercial work and experimentation with new techniques would be ideal, showcasing different stages of the 3D creation process.

  • From a software point of view, an excellent technical and creative knowledge of Houdini, Cinema4D and Redshift is a must, alongside Adobe Creative Suite, predominantly After Effects and Premiere Pro. Any experience and interest in Unreal Engine would be a really nice-to-have.

  • Process-wise, you follow a best practice approach, understanding the brief, taking direction and adding your own creative angle to push the brief, researching best-in-class examples and techniques, prototyping, presenting back to the team and embracing constructive feedback as a way to better our outcomes and collaboration.

Job requirements

  • As a 3D generalist you will be responsible for the entire execution of 3D projects. From client understanding and shaping the brief, research, ideation, concepting, storyboarding, feedbacking

  • Building understanding of client requirements and shaping the brief

  • Keeping a finger on the pulse researching best practices and new techniques

  • Participating in brainstormings and ideation sessions with the broader team

  • Collaborating with and advising art directors on the feasibility of ideas

  • Developing advanced storyboards and animatics in order to communicate and test ideas

  • Bringing ideas to life through modeling, texturing, lightning and shader creation, as well as final rendering.

  • Sharing work, participating in open feedback sessions and supporting your team by nurturing more junior designers

  • Clearly communicating insights, challenges and ideas to team members, clients and collaborators.

  • Supporting project managers by providing accurate time estimates and an easy but consistent flow of communication
