Your responsibilities

  • To set up, coordinate & execute the regional sales plan and overall customer relationship objectives, both for the short- and long term

  • Define and implement a strategic account plan for key countries in Eastern Europe such as Poland, Russia and Ukraine

  • Translate your plans into Financial goals both strategically and tactically and be accountable for topline and bottom line profit for your region

  • Monitor and coordinate the execution of the account plan, and report based on defined performance indicators and take corrective actions, in order to achieve the results

  • Develop strong relationships with your direct accounts, regional key accounts and regional distributors

  • Lead contract negotiations with the respective account(s) and ensure the conclusion of sales contracts

  • Monitor the account’s payment behavior and act to ensure payment within the agreed payment terms

  • Manage regional distributors, prepare and execute distribution plan according to the agreed targets

  • (New) business development in the Savory segment with DSM solutions selling focusing on Taste, Texture and Health

Our requirements

  • Exceptional customer management, negotiation, and strategic selling skills

  • Bachelor / Master’s degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (sales, business)

  • Proven track record as a sales specialist with high energy, focus on business growth and a strong drive for results

  • 5+ years’ experience in the food industry gained in international company, good understanding of consumer market for food ingredients

  • Experience with Taste ingredients and/or in Savory business is a preference

  • English on a min. C1 level, good knowledge of Russian (B2)

  • Ability to travel across Eastern Europe

As an Account Manager Savory you will lead and develop sales activities across Eastern Europe in line with DSM Savory business strategy. You will report to the Savory EMEA Sales Director based in the Netherlands. You will be responsible for identifying new solutions based on DSM ingredients and fulfilling business opportunities at our Savory customers. This is a remote position, as you will be located close to your customers with home base in Poland - expected travel is approximately 50%.
