Your responsibilities
A resource for this role will support operations related to compliance and risk reporting for Alphabet’s investment portfolios. This role will coordinate the daily investment portfolio compliance program to monitor exposure to investment mandate limits. Additionally, the role will contribute to risk reporting and analysis and will work with the Alphabet Treasury Financial Risk Strategy team to monitor and improve the quality of risk data.
Trading Operations
Duties focus on creating and maintaining security setups in the database and reviewing and reconciling position data related to Alphabet’s investments
Review and maintain Security Master data on a daily basis
Reconciliation of custodian data with risk systems
Risk Management
Duties focus on quality control as well as enhancements to risk reporting and processes o Run regular risk reports and consolidate into standard templates
Perform regular quality control checks of data
Work with investment management application vendor on reporting enhancements and data validation
Compliance
Duties focus on monitoring and confirming validity of compliance breaches, and coordinating responses from relevant teams to cure true breaches
Monitor compliance dashboard on a daily basis to review compliance violations, including review of system compliance dashboard, external market data feeds, and internal investment policy and mandates
Escalate violations and coordinate exception management activities between Risk and Strategy and Trading and Investments Team
Document exceptions and resolution recommendations
Perform a monthly review and quarterly reporting for compliance activities
Our requirements
BA/BS degree (In lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience)
Minimum 1 year relevant work experience in finance / compliance / audit / risk management roles
Excellent data management skills
Excellent communication skills including full working knowledge of written and spoken English
Experience working with finance or accounting related products, particularly familiarity with fixed income products
Attention to detail with the ability to effectively multitask and work independently
Proficiency in Excel
Experience with Google Docs product suite
