Your responsibilities
- Daily bookkeeping of selected Polish companies (Operating entities and project companies) – bank statements reconciliation, A/P and A/R subledgers reconciliation, fixed assets register, payroll journals (based on input payroll calculation data from external payroll agency), VAT processing with tax advisor, cooperation with local staff, issuing invoices
- Monthly closing – review of subledgers, ensuring completeness of monthly-closing transactions (depreciation, FX revaluation, accruals, provisions, etc.), overall review of reported stand-alone figures (financial statements), documentation of the B/S and P/L items, clarification of differences of payables/receivables for other Group entities, annual reports and financial statements preparation in accordance with group accounting rules
- Ongoing cooperation with Accounting and Consolidation Manager and other colleagues within Financial Department, with tax advisor for a local legislation.
- Cooperation with auditors during annual close.
- Other tasks related to accounting and administration, support of the local team relating to finance matters
Our requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in an accounting related area plus work experience of at least 3 years in an international environment as an Independent Accountant;
- OR High-school degree with work experience in an international environment as an Independent Accountant for at least 4 years
- Basic IFRS knowledge is an advantage
- Analytical skills, logical thinking
- Ability to work independently
- Diligence, reliability, ability to work with detailed information, stress-resistance
- Fluent Polish
- Advanced English (verbal and written) required for regular communication with HQ
- Excellent knowledge of MS-Office, most importantly Excel
- Knowledge of Netsuite (accounting/ERP system) is an advantage
- Knowledge of PL accounting and tax rules, experience with preparation of financial statements and VAT/Tax reports is an advantage
