Accountant with Ukrainian
/Russian language

location: Wrocław

In our office in Wroclaw we are currently looking to attract an experienced Accountant who is fluent in Ukrainian/Russian language. In this position you will be responsible for accounting activities for Ukraine and one other CEE country. You will provide support to accounting activities for our Ukrainian legal entity in cooperation with finance, business and local accounting office.

The Role

Key roles and responsibilities of the Accountant are as follows:

  • Supports accounting operations, actively cooperates with accounting office
  • Performs analysis of transactional accounting line items and supports decision making
  • Analyzes the differences between corporate general ledger and local statutory ledger and reconciles the differences
  • Conducts accounting reviews, books adjustments and reclassifications needed to comply with local GAAP, group accounting policies and tax laws
  • Prepares weekly cash flow report
  • Prepares monthly referral report and underlying calculations
  • Prepares monthly and quarterly reports and management packs
  • Builds customer relationships, consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making
  • Identifies potential process improvements and participates in their implementation
  • Develops, implements and maintains procedures and policies ensuring compliance with company guidelines
  • Actively supports implementation of an accounting system

The Person

To be considered for this exciting opportunity you will require the following skills and experience:

  • At least 4+ years of accounting experience (preferably in General Ledger)
  • University degree (Accounting, Economics, Finance) or equivalent required
  • Very good knowledge of accounting/financial principles
  • Fluent communication skills in English
  • Fluent communication skills in Ukrainian or Russian language
  • Advanced business application skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Good business acumen with ability to understand complex organizational structures and environments
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and complexity
