Your responsibilities

  • The Accounting Manager will be responsible for preparation of numerous statutory financial statements (audited and unaudited), supervision and support of the month end closings (including , contributing to implementation of new processes for various GAAPs purposes and other as needed tasks.

  • The Accounting Manager will have possibilities to develop her/his experience within multiple local accounting and reporting regulations, IFRS and US GAAP.

  • The volume of new investments in our company continues to increase along with the complexity of accounting. Change is constant and the Accounting Manager must be able to adapt to changing priorities.

  • Understand the Polish (and other EMEA) operations and activities, to effectively identify and communicate complex accounting analysis and decisions to FP&A and business teams

  • Develop strong working relationships with the EMEA Controllers, FP&A, support and local teams. Be the connection point between business and Accounting and facilitate information requirements and process efficiency

  • Understand the impact of accounting decisions on the overall reporting process for other support functions (e.g. IT, HR, Procurement, etc.) and ensure appropriate communication of same

  • Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with company’s filing schedule across EMEA region

  • Supervise month-end closings for selected entities (control P&L and balance sheet, including deep-dive and follow-up actions)

  • Partner with internal and external audit teams, fulfill audit requests in a timely manner and work with auditors to understand testing approach and provide timely and comprehensive information

  • Manage SOX compliance requirements, continuously strengthen the control environment and to ensure 100% SOX compliance

  • Reconcile differences between Statutory and US GAAP ledgers and perform year-end statutory closing activities

  • Participate in financial consolidation process

  • Lead and drive the effective implementation of corporate policies and procedures

  • Interface with tax, treasury and legal department to address business requirements and statutory reporting compliance matters

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting / finance

  • 5+ years of accounting / reporting experience in a corporate environment. Public company and SAP experience is a plus

  • Understanding of GAAP and ability to identify potential issues and analyze financial activities

  • Strong technical and analytical skills in financial analysis, including the ability to grasp the “big picture” while also maintaining a strong detail orientation

  • Ability to prepare and present high quality analysis, data dashboards, etc.

  • Knowledge of the media / entertainment industry is considered an advantage

  • BIG4 experience is considered an advantage, but not mandatory

  • CPA, ACCA or CIMA qualification/part-qualification is considered as a strong advantage

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task with effective organizational and problem solving skills, demonstrate continuous improvement mentality

  • Proven attention to detail and delivery of results

  • Highly motivated self-starter and team player

  • Superior ability to organize, analyze and concisely present oral and written communication. High ethical standards

  • UK GAAP knowledge would be considered as an advantage

The Accounting Manager will be a member of the EMEA Finance Controllership team. The Finance Controllers are responsible for monthly and quarterly US GAAP reporting, preparing the statutory financial statements (in numerous GAAPs), review of account reconciliations and support for financial reporting processes managed by the Global Finance Team. More specifically, the Accounting Manager is seen as a key person to support the Finance Controllers in financial reporting processes of US GAAP and local GAAPs while ensuring compliance with audit, tax, SEC, and SOX guidelines.
