HSBC is one of the world’s largest banking and financial services organisations. Currently, we are looking for a candidate for the position of:

    Accounting Policy Implementation Expert (France)
    Location: Kraków
    Ref No: GFC/APIE/FR/02/2018

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Prepare accounting schemes documentation of all banking transactions for both manual and automatic GL entries
    • Ensure compliance of proposed approach with accounting and reporting standards (IFRS and French GAAP)
    • Management of local and group chart of accounts of HSBC entities
    • Participation in projects implementing new standards or regulations
    • Maintenance of a database for accounting schemes
    • Management of queries from business, operations and accounting teams

    Requirements:

    • University degree in finance related discipline
    • Excellent knowledge of IFRS
    • Understanding of French GAAP will be an asset
    • Knowledge of Banking regulations will be a plus
    • Understanding of GL systems and reporting software
    • Professional qualifications (CIMA/ACCA) will be a plus
    • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
    • Minimum 6 years relevant accounting experience
    • Banking/Insurance/Financial Services industry experience
    • Project management experience will be an asset
    • Very good English language skills
    • French language will be an asset
    • Strong analytical ability, tenacity, and sound commercial judgment
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
    • Demonstrate the ability to work with people at all levels
    • Good planning and organizational skills, with ability to adapt to changing environment
