Your responsibilities
Ensuring the creation and updating of required Documentation following the Group/regional methodology
Understanding statutory and regulatory requirements and accounting policy to be able to analyse the reporting impacts from system perspective
Keeping abreast of new regulatory needs and Group requirements
Management of local and group chart of accounts of HSBC entities
Ensuring the reliability of accounting data repository Platon (GOCA, GRCA, PCEC referential basis of financial reporting) through relevant analyzes and controls
Maintenance of a database for accounting schemes
Management of queries from business, operations and accounting teams
Work closely with Tax and Accounting policy team to ensure requirements are well integrated in accounting documentation
Working with upstream and downstream system and business teams for change implementation
Participating in projects implementing new standards or regulations
Ensuring that Standard Operating Procedures are updated
Our requirements
Senior financial services professional, qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, etc.), with strong technical accounting and reporting skills.
University degree in finance related discipline
Experience in Finance project implementation from Accounting/reporting perspective starting from understanding the requirement to sourcing data and finally to reporting lines.
Experience in designing, implementing and running dual reporting processes- IFRS and Local GAAP
Experience working in relevant environments, i.e. banking financial, regulatory reporting experience required
Understanding of GL systems
Very good English (Read, Write and Speak)
French Language (Read, Write and Speak) would be an asset
French GAAP knowledge would be an asset
Skilled in handing and controlling operational data and complex data sets (MS Excel)
Be able to work independently and meet tight deadlines
Demonstrate the ability to work with people at all levels
Good planning and organizational skills, with ability to adapt to changing environment
