Accounting Services Coordinator And GL Accountant

Job purpose:

Supervision of accounting work carried out by the Polish accounting functional teams for German AmRest entities. Cooperation with German Chief Accountant and local accounting team in order to monitor correctness of accounting, month-, quarter- and year-end closing. Lead projects to globally align processes and increase efficiency of accounting processes. Lead and oversee General Ledger activities for German entities.

Your challenges:

• Manages (functional/matrix management) and supports Polish Accounting teams (in area of Sales, AP, AR, COS, FA, T&E, Master Data, Tax, Payroll) delivering accounting work for German entities.
• Serves as the first point of contact for German Chief Accountant in area of accounting services.
• Ensures completeness and accuracy of booking and timely closing of books in GL DE area. Supports local audit processes.
• Continuously improves financial processes and systems from GL area in order to make them aligned with Polish one.
• Acts as expert in General Ledger area in business projects and initiatives. Ensures user-friendly services, communication and execution.
• Ensures that the service agreement, process maps, process taxonomy and work instructions are up to date.
• Plans and controls the resources (human and financial) required to provide accounting services to the German finance team at the agreed level.

Your skills & experience:

• MA University degree – preferably Finance, Economy
• Fluent communication in English both written and spoken
• Min 4 years of experience in accounting area
• Min 2 years of process management experience
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
• Excellent communication skills
• Problem solving skills
