Due to dynamic growth and development we are seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated individual for the position of Accounting Supervisor. This position will be placed in Berlin.
Accounting Supervisor
Location: Berlin
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger and bank reconciliations;
- Prepare budgeting reports, forecast revenues and stock exchange reporting;
- Financial reporting according to the IFRS standards;
- Manage month-end and year-end closing;
- Monitor the daily performance of the external accounting department;
- Organize financial data into useable information and maintain updated records;
- Track the progress of financial and accounting objectives;
- Establish accounting policies and procedures, aligned with company’s standards;
- Ensure compliance with the German Law and Tax-Law, as well as group policies.
Requirements:
- University degree in Accounting or Finance;
- Accounting certification (e.g. CIMA or ACCA) is a plus;
- Proven work experience as an Accounting Supervisor or Independent Accountant;g
- Strong computer skills, especially MS Excel ;
- Good knowledge of German accounting principles and IFRS;
- Professional knowledge of German Tax Law and experience in interacting with German Tax Authorities;
- Good understanding of Transfer Pricing rules;
- Excellent analytical skills to manage large amounts of data;
- Ability to communicate in English to a high standard, knowledge of German is a plus;
- Attention to details and accuracy;
- Ability to prioritize work.
