In 2013, DFDS Polska was established in Poznan as the group’s finance and accounting Shared Service Centre. Our Poznan office now employs over 200 staff and covers Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and General Ledger functions in 20 European countries as well as specialist areas in Indirect Taxation, Cash Management, Master Data, Business Intelligence & Analytics and Continuous Improvement. In 2017, DFDS Polska was named the winner of the ABSL Business Leader in Business Excellence Diamond Award.

Now there is a chance to join us in the position of:
Accounting Team Leader
Location: Poznań

Main tasks:

1. Team leading of  aprox. 10-20 employees:

  • manage and mentor team members
  • supervise work within the scope of tasks performed by individual team members,
  • plan, coordinate and control work performed by subordinate team,  
  • prepare performance evaluation and targets setup for team members,
  • recruit and perform the onboarding process for new employees
  • encourage positive relations and cooperation within the team (internally and externally with Local Business Units or other DFDS PL Departments),
  • give regular feedback
  • support DFDS Way culture

2. Responsibility for team processes:

  • have control over team lead projects
  • propose, lead or support changes within processes
  • be continuously driven to improve internal processes and procedures to reduce transactional costs and handling time
  • ensure accurate, timely and high quality services, measured by relevant and accurate KPIs
  • report the results to management and stakeholders, propose improvements if relevant

3. Client service:

  • become a trusted business partner
  • build positive and long-term relations with internal and external stakeholders,
  • cooperate with external financial and/or consulting institutions (i.e. Auditors, external solutions providers)
  • continue an effective cross Teams/Departments cooperation
  • be part of a positive work atmosphere

Your profile:

  • at least 2 years of leadership experience in accounting/finance teams,
  • at least 4 years of experience in different finance related roles,
  • very good knowledge of accounting and financial processes,
  • being driven, passionate, positive and able to build team spirit,
  • excellent communication and analytical skills, strong customer service skills,
  • fluent English, knowledge of second European language would be an asset,
  • precision and attention to details, being inquisitive, diligent and well-organized,
  • good knowledge of MS Office and other commonly used software,
  • Master degree
