Accounting Team Manager (a new position in a growing global department - AP & Payments or  AR & Transaction Operations)

  • Line management (including performance management) of the personnel aligned to the team (9-13 people)
  • Assuring service delivery for the process in a chosen department (1. AP & Payments or 2. AR supporting transaction operations and GL)
  • Strategy development, setting and achieving operational objectives
  • Working closely with clients and maintaining good relationships; cooperation and communication with external and internal stakeholders (incl. auditors)
  • Acting as a point of contact for process/people related escalations; ensuring the correctness of procedures and internal control function
  • Continuous training of the team (methods, organisation, performance improvement), reviewing work of staff and providing constructive feedback
  • Continuous improvement: seeking and acting on ways to improve daily work processes to enhance quality, productivity and customer service
  • Coordinating transitions of accounting processes
  • University degree in Finance / Accounting or an accounting certification or equivalent is desirable
  • Proven track of professional experience in the area of accounting (preferably within Accounts Receivable / Accounts Payable / PtP / OtC / RtR / GL / Cash Management / Payments)
  • At least a few years of supervising / team leading / managerial experience in an accounting department
  • Very good knowledge of AR / OtC or AP / PtP process gained in SSC/BPO sector is highly desirable
  • Fluent English (min. C1 level)
  • Experience in process transition / process improvement / process automation within accounting processes would be an asset
