Your responsibilities

The responsibilities of this professional include but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for HR supervisory responsibilities of teams ranging from 5+ direct reports

• Leads the day-to-day operation of AP COE team, setting on-going individual and team objectives, prioritizing work, and optimizing resources to meet or exceed SLA’s

• Responsible for controls including GRNI, Duplicate Invoices, and AP Subledger Reconciliation

• Support the team as the process SME to develop the staff process knowledge and provide guidance when working through complex cases

• Supports staff resource planning, organizing, and monitoring of key processes, including assisting in hiring, training, and evaluating staff, and taking effective actions to address performance matters

People Management:

• Leads and develops the team

• Works with direct reports to establish goals and objectives

• Drives improvements in employee engagement (Q12)

• Ensures that relevant information is communicated to direct reports enabling them to effectively carry out their functions

• Delegates tasks in line with skill, knowledge, and ability, where necessary (together with the Manager) identifies skill gaps and training requirements

• Handles personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, etc.

Our requirements

Education:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field

• Professional certification in accounting (CPA or equivalent) preferred

• Fluent in English

Experience:

• Proven experience in Finance operations role + minimum experience of 2 years in an AP position involving people management (team lead, supervisor, manager, etc.)

• Strong knowledge of internal control concepts

• Good knowledge of USGAAP is preferred

• Good working knowledge of SAP, Oracle or any other ERPs

The mission of AP Senior Supervisor - Center of Excellence (COE) is to deliver an effective system of internal processes and controls and to ensure invoice and payment processing are handled accurately, timely, and in compliance with Stryker policies and procedures and any applicable laws and regulations. The COE team handles escalations from internal and external stakeholders. Exception handling and issue resolution will be executed with attention to continuous improvement and service excellence. Finally, the role will lead a team focused on managing the AP subledger and GRNI to identify possible issues in a proactive manner.
