Your responsibilities

  • Managing the AR team to meets goals, evaluating team members and ensuring the delivery of agreed KPIs for the team’s activities

  • Receiving transitioned AR processes from regions and stabilizing these processes

  • Performing, alongside the team, day-to-day AR operations within the Investor Service Centers (ISC): credit control, cash application, reconciliations, dunning and customer master data maintenance (credit limits etc.)

  • Identifying continuous process improvement opportunities to promote standardization and improving efficiency within AR activities

  • Liaising with and forging strong communication channels with regional Finance team members

  • Preparing cash receipt forecasts for the LKQ Europe Treasury team

  • Ensuring the AR team performs activities in line with LKQ group policies and legal standards

  • Achieving results by leading team members with a collaborative mindset

  • Providing leadership, training, motivation and guidance to your team

  • Preparing monthly reports as required by the region

  • Assisting and supporting with financial and tax audit and compliance requests in relation to AR activities

Our requirements

  • University degree or Masters in economics, finance, business Administration (or similar)

  • Experience in a shared service department and global outsource collection department

  • Experience with high volume accounts receivable

  • 2 + years of experience as a Team Lead (in Accounts Receivable would be an asset)

  • Fluent in English, knowledge of Dutch, German or French would be an asset

  • Demonstrable experience as a team player

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel (experience with Oracle ERP would be an advantage)

  • Self-motivated team player with a strong work ethic

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment

  • Leader with the ability to motivate people

  • Experience supervising a team to work on assigned cases, and monitoring team production and team performance against KPIs

  • Can communicate effectively with the regional business

  • Ability to build and maintain superior customer relationships

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Strong statistical, analytical and critical thinking skills

  • High attention to detail.

Role overview

The Accounts Receivable Team Lead will be primarily responsible for managing the Accounts Receivable (AR) team, reporting directly to the AR Manager, and working closely with Sales, Operations, and Finance teams. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to lead, collaborate, grow and evolve the AR team.
