About the project
You will form an important part of a “Review Team” – a team of talented individuals, based in Warsaw. The team works closely with the Head of Actuarial Function (HoAF) of MetLife operation that is based in Ireland and overlooks business in several countries of western, central and southern Europe.
Your responsibilities
- Developing analytical models (heatmaps, comparisons, compelling visualizations) of demographic and expense studies and assumptions for all the countries and products; drawing conclusions and presenting them to the HoAF.
- Review of developments to the data warehouse.
- Review of data controls, monitoring of data quality and driving continuous improvement.
- Performing and improving expense unitization study.
- Providing training where necessary to other actuarial team members and promoting exchange of knowledge across the team.
Our requirements
- At least Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Math, Physics, Economics or similar.
- 2 – 5 years’ of experience in the business or data science field.
- Expertise in R, SQL, Python and data visualization tools.
- Desire to start or continue actuarial career.
- Ability to take ownership of a piece of work and work it to resolution with minimal guidance.
- Professional behavior with high level of integrity.
- Excellent cooperation and communication skills.
- Proficiency in oral and written English.
