We Offer

We are seeking a DevOps minded, support resource familiar with ITIL processes in Wroclaw, Poland. The person chosen for the role will be responsible for supporting enterprise monitoring applications (resource, performance and service monitoring) that cover more than 60k servers/databases & more than 5k internal users. Furthermore, you will gain significant experience supporting open-source based applications, market leading vendor applications and in-house developed applications while also giving to automation & agile work streams to create an efficient & effective function.

Your key activities include:

  • Participate in daily operations including the resolution of incidents, executing changes & analysis of problem tickets. This includes deep troubleshooting of complex issues down to code level.
  • Identifying solutions for incidents by collaborating with engineers, via open-source communities and liaising with vendor. Driving continuous service improvement initiatives including process optimization, automation via scripts, and other innovations.
  • Maintaining clarity with partner teams and customers; Collaborating with them to address key challenges.
  • Participate in life cycle management projects, major incident management calls, problem management discussions, maintenance & DR exercises and other forums.

You Offer

  • You hold a Graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related subject; alternatively an equivalent education in one of these topics.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in infrastructure or application support.
  • Experience in participating in critical outages or Major Incident Management issues.
  • Experience working with Linux & Windows Servers.
  • Experience in installing/supporting monitoring tools & frameworks such as Cassandra, Bosun, Kafka, Grafana, Graphite, AppDynamics, Moogsoft, Splunk.
  • You possess analytical & logical thinking skills.
  • Experience in a scripting language (Python, Ruby, Perl, Shell) and regular expression.
  • Experience in MySQL.
  • Possess effective communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Self-starter and one who embraces change quickly.

Desirable:

  • Understanding of one of the programming languages (C#, ASP.NET, Angular, Java, Golang, C, Perl, Python, etc.).
  • Understanding of one of the webservers technologies (nginx, apache, IIS).
