Manage Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities with suppliers.
Act as the liaison between Manufacturing, Engineering, and the supplier.
Conduct program reviews on all new AQE parts.
Review, Remediate, and Approve PPAPs from suppliers as appropriate.
Conduct process audits and Run-at-Rates as required for AQE parts.
Develop suppliers to as appropriate to comply with BWI's Supplier Development and Management Process (SDMP).
Train suppliers on the quality and manufacturing philosophies utilized by BWI.
Resolve supplier issues during APQP - develop corrective actions and document lessons learned.
Improve the quality performance of suppliers by conducting supplier workshops, improvement meetings, etc.
Manage critical supplier issues using escalation as appropriate.
Improve quality levels of purchased parts & materials to achieve quality metric goals.
Support MCIP and Localization goals.
Support the Protect the Customer Process.
Comply with and ensure supplier compliance with ISO/TS 16949 as appropriate.
Promote a "Passion for Excellence".
Qualifications: (R) Required or (P) Preferred
Technical degree with a major in Engineering or equivalent training and experience;(R)
Working knowledge of Supplier Quality processes;(R)
High level of analytical ability;(P)
Working knowledge of components manufacturing processes;(P)
Must be willing to travel as required;(R)
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others;(R)
High level of computer skill;(R)
Self-starter, must be capable of working with minimum direction or supervision;(R)
Proficiency in oral & written communications;(R)
10. Highly organized, ability to multi-task and prioritize;(R)
IATF 16949 Internal Auditor (R) VDA 6.3 process auditor; (P)
Practical knowledge of Automotive Core Tools: SPC/PPAP/MSA/APQP/PFMEA (R).
