Your responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate investigations into unexpected or risky behavior by LC&FI customers. Perform initial desktop analysis of the transactions and coordinate with relevant SEB teams in order to secure that the cases are concluded and documented, and that KYC review activities are triggered where necessary.

  • Support other team members in periodic in-depth analysis of the risks in Beneficial Owners & Senior Managing Officials of LC&FI customers who are also Politically Exposed Persons, as well as escalate cases with indicators of increased risk for full KYC review by our KYC specialists.

  • Ongoing review and analysis of indicators of potential increase in risk level for LC&FI’s clients in order to trigger full KYC review where there is judged to be a significant change of risk.

  • Perform investigation and analysis of challenging cases, either on an individual customer level or across a specific segment or customer type.

  • Perform other controls in relation to monitoring of high risk customers and/or securing implementation of risk based approach.

Our requirements

  • Fluency in English written and spoken (C1/C2), is essential as this is an international role requiring communication across multiple countries and units.

  • Additional languages relevant to the sites where quality controls will be performed is a bonus but not essential.

  • University degree

  • At least 2 years working with KYC/AML processes.

  • At least 1 years of experience in transaction monitoring and AML area for financial institutions would be an advantage.

  • Knowledge and understanding of ML/TF risks and risk indicators.

  • Ability to collect, verify and synthesize data.

  • Ability to make recommendations based on gathered evidence.

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Ability to work independently and pro-actively, as well as be part of a successful high-performing team.

About the role

SEB strives to secure full regulatory compliance, whilst also building efficient processes which provide an excellent customer experience. This means that we aim to have a risk-based approach to AML, with stronger focus and controls in areas with greater risk.

The AML Risk Analyst role involves performing coordination and analysis of transaction investigations, as well as Politically Exposed Persons analysis, and other forms of AML risk monitoring, for the SEB Group, Large Corporates and Financial Institutions division. The analyst will support continual development of the processes and tools. We are looking for a team player with ability to co-operate across borders. This is an internal role with no or limited client contact.
