Your responsibilities

  • Take responsibility for assigned analyses and generate hypotheses

  • Develop skillset further while working with Excel and PowerPoint, learn other example tools as Tableau, Alteryx

  • Use Bain & Company’s proprietary toolkit and fact-based analytical approach to validate your answer

  • Effectively understand the work plan and execute it

  • Understand client needs and situations and adapt to case expectations

  • Identify the key drivers and generate sound hypotheses to solve our clients' critical issues

  • Find innovative ways to answer critical questions through high quality data research and analysis

  • Hone professional communication skills by delivering impactful insights in a structured manner

  • Interact with a host of international cultures and make a lasting impact for Bain teams across the EMEA region

  • Example tasks include market & competitor research, survey analytics, online and social media scraping, assessment of brand engagement, target screening and others

Our requirements

  • Graduates from top-tier university, preferably with quantitative background

  • 0.5-2 years of experience in similar analytical roles

  • Proficient English is essential (at least C1), other European language will be an advantage

  • Understanding of analytics, Excel and PowerPoint capabilities

  • Ability to multi-task under pressure while maintaining a professional, customer-focused attitude

  • Ability to learn new tools and techniques quickly

  • Ability to analyse and solve problems methodologically, deriving business insights

  • Ownership of work streams, with significant direction and support from the Project Leader

  • Efficiency, accuracy and commitment to meeting deadlines

  • Excellent communication and listening skills

  • Outstanding organization, prioritization and time management skills

  • Aptitude for practical and innovative problem solving with good attention to detail

  • Proactive approach to learning and personal development

  • Openness to giving and receiving feedback

Bain Capability Network Team

The Bain Capability Network (BCN) plays a critical role in supporting Bain's consulting teams globally to help with analytics and research across all industries, for corporate cases, client development, private equity diligence or Bain intellectual property. Specifically, the Analyst plays a team member role on BCN consulting product cases, managing allocated analyses within a project independently with significant direction from a Project Leader. Analysts take responsibility for completing the given analyses and provide useful input on related dimensions. Analysts are generalists who work on projects across any geography or industry.
