Your responsibilities
You will be a member of the Sustainability Data Warehouse (SDW) team.
You will work with a highly collaborative team of sustainability experts to provide a backbone of data to support decarbonization projects.
You will work in a team of data analysts (total of 4 in team), together with data engineers, tech lead, product managers, solution leads, data stewards and sustainability experts.
Your core components will be focused on initial data analysis, identifying data corrections, data augmentation and data quality, assessing and enhancing the usefulness of a data source.
You will work on closing gaps in our offering, on ontology alignment, progressing selected databases to completed licensing and readiness for ingestion.
Our core stack includes following AWS services: S3, Lambda, Glue, AppSync, Neptune, Snowflake.
There is flexibility to hire at different levels, depending on candidate experience.
Our requirements
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, engineering, applied math, quantitative methods or related field
Experience building data products (data warehouses, data lakes, data hubs etc.) including data modelling
AWS experience or other public cloud technology is a plus
RDF & SPARQL is a plus
Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to create innovative solutions for data content or data format challenges
Ability to influence and work with international teams
Excellent communication skills especially around breaking down complex structures into digestible and relevant points for a diverse set of clients and colleagues at all levels
3+ years of professional work experience with proven data engineering skills
Proficiency in Python and SQL
Graph development experience is a plus
Strong interest in data management and processing including modern architectures and techniques
Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Good ownership mentality; desire to learn and develop within a dynamic, self-led organization
Strong command of the English language (both verbal and written)
