Your responsibilities

  • Calculating composite performance and reviewing the accuracy and quality of the underlying data.

  • Maintaining performance, composite and/or benchmark information in various databases and SharePoint.

  • Identifying and resolving data issues of low to moderate complexity impacting composite performance and analyzing dispersion issues.

  • Running error correction and determining if impact is material.

  • Ensuring reports are delivered to the appropriate client(s) and/or provided via automated processes to downstream systems by the agreed upon date.

  • Responding to custom requests using SQL or using database queries.

  • Reviewing validation controls, resolving issues and providing implement improvements to streamline composite workflow process.

  • Conducting annual reviews to ensure integrity of data.

  • Gathering documentation, providing reports, and assisting with requests for internal and external audit (verification).

  • Reviewing policies and procedures to ensure consistency with the GIPS standards.

Our requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance or Accounting preferred).

  • 2-4 years relevant work experience in the Mutual Fund / Financial Services industry.

  • Experience using MS Office with intermediate skills in Excel.

  • Experience with SQL or similar database skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and fluent English.

  • Experience with Python is an advantage.

The GIPS Composite Team in the Global Compliance group is responsible for providing composite performance reports based on the provisions from the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) which are maintained by the CFA Institute. The GIPS standards are voluntary and contain ethical and professional best-practices for the calculation and presentation of investment performance results.

Analyst – Investment Performance and Risk is responsible for calculating, analyzing and reporting composite performance, and provide accurate, timely composite reports based on the firm’s policies and procedures and ensure consistency with GIPS standards. This role requires interaction with various groups such as Global Data Services, Investment Risk Management, Product Managers, and Internal/External Auditors.
