We are now looking for an Analyst, Master Data Management, in UPM Finance & Control Development to learn and grow with us.

Your responsibilities

  • Be responsible for developing master data management in alignment with UPM strategy, needs of Business Areas, Global Functions and regulatory requirements.

  • Measure, analyze and control data proactively to continuously improve the quality level. Report to management on the progress of data quality improvement.

  • Develop data quality and process performance dashboards, metrics and KPIs that support our policies, guidelines and data standards.

  • Identify, assess, cleanse and help in resolving data quality issues. Address the root causes of data inconsistencies and recommend improvements together with the Concept Leads, Process Managers and master data service delivery organization.

  • Develop, document and implement data quality best practices, policies and guidelines together with the other Analysts and Concept Leads.

  • Participate in data quality solution / master data solution development projects as well as support operative teams and business as specialist of your responsibility area / data domain.

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities in the way of working or further automatizing routine data management tasks (e.g. applying analytics, RPA/VBA, machine learning).

  • Demonstrate data driven attitude and expertise in your daily work. Contribute in building the Master Data Center of Practice: share best practices, guidelines and maintain knowledge of newest trends.

Our requirements

  • You are self-directed, responsible and proactive doer with customer service mindset. You take the ownership and get things done in an efficient and professional way.

  • You are an adaptive with good interpersonal and communication skills – together we aim higher!

  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills including data quality analysis and visualization.

  • You are fluent with data quality and ETL tools (like SQL Server/MDS, Data360® Analyze / Alteryx or similar) and self-service BI tools (like Power BI, Tableau). You are not afraid of Python, if you have not learned that yet.

  • You have preferably some experience of master data management systems (like SAP MDM / MDG) and their role in the global company. Understanding of Snowflake and Microsoft Azure platform is a great advantage.

  • You have bachelor or master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Science or Mathematics.

  • You have from 2 to 5 years of working experience in similar position or as business / data analyst, reporting specialist or advanced analytics specialists.

  • Experience of at least one of the core data domains (Customer, Vendor, Finance & Enterprise Data) is required. Especially, understanding of how SAP ECC / S4 Hana data model(s) for Business Partner and Financial Master Data are defined would help you in this position.

  • You are fluent in English and appreciate working in a truly international environment. Other languages are considered beneficial.

Additional information

The position is located in Wroclaw, Poland.

The position holder will report to Head of Center of Practice, Master Data Management in UPM Finance & Control Development.
