Your responsibilities

  • Be responsible for developing master data management in alignment with UPM strategy, needs of Business Areas, Global Functions and regulatory requirements

  • Develop data quality and process performance dashboards, metrics and KPIs that support our policies, guidelines and data standards

  • Identify, assess, cleanse and help in resolving data quality issues. Address the root causes of data inconsistencies and recommend improvements

  • Plan and carry out data quality improvement activities in development initiatives or MDM projects

  • Be a data quality “buddy” for our operative teams, business and projects within the area of responsibility / data domain

  • Identify continuous improvement opportunities e.g., by further automating routine data management tasks (applying analytics, RPA/VBA, machine learning)

  • Demonstrate data driven attitude and expertise in your daily work. Contribute to building of the Master Data Center of Practice: share best practices, guidelines and maintain knowledge of newest trends

Our requirements

  • You are self-directed, responsible and proactive doer with customer service mindset. You take the ownership and get things done in an efficient and professional way

  • You are an adaptive with good interpersonal and communication skills – together we aim higher!

  • You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills including data quality analysis, visualization and solution documentation

  • You are fluent in English and appreciate working in a truly international environment. Other languages are considered beneficial

  • You have bachelor or master’s degree in Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Management Science or Mathematics

  • You have some 2 to 5 years of working experience in similar position or as business / data analyst, reporting specialist or advanced analytics specialists.

  • Understanding of Snowflake and Microsoft Azure platform is a must. You are also fluent with MS Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Apps), SQL, SAP and MS Office tools including VBA.

  • Experience of at least one of the core data domains (Customer, Vendor, Finance & Enterprise Data, Material) is required in SAP environments (ECC / S4 Hana)

  • You have preferably some experience in master data management systems (like SAP MDM / MDG / Stibo / Informatica) and their role in the global company

  • You are not afraid of Python, if you have not learned that yet. You are ready to learn and see how we could best apply new capabilities (such as ML, AI, RPA) to improve and automate our data quality, data reconciliation and master data management.

The position holder will report to Head of Center of Practice, Master Data Management in UPM Finance & Control Development
