The position

 

While the regulatory environments globally become increasingly complex and demanding, financial institutions are expected to put in place adequate controls aimed at reducing risks in financial markets, among others, Market Abuse offences such as Insider Dealing and Market Manipulation.

 

As an analyst in RC Monitoring and Surveillance, you will cover the review of Trading activity within Assets Management Group to detect potential cases of breaches of law and regulations.

In our team you will:

  • Investigate whether Trading activity is operating in line with relevant laws, regulations, codes and HSBC policies

  • Cooperate with the on-shore Regulatory Compliance teams and with colleagues who are based overseas

  • Keep up to date with regulatory developments and financial market news

  • Understand the financial markets, the trading process and products offered in order to review the alerts and escalate potential issues

In our team you will:

What we are looking for:

  • Educated to degree level
  • Strong analytical skills and a good eye for detail
  • Prior experience working in the financial services, or genuine interest in the field
  • Knowledge of financial markets and financial products (Equities, Fixed income, Investment funds, etc.) Knowledge of Trade Surveillance tools would be an asset
  • Fluency in English
