About the project
As an IT Backend Developer for Catena-X, you will be actively contributing to ZF’s digitalization strategy driving a high level of secure products and services within ZF’s automotive and industrial divisions. You have a passion for digital products and will use your skills and new technology to bring value to our business partners. You will be designing, consulting on and implementing the infrastructure and technical environments that support such advances. Always striving for improvements and to learn new things your motivation and mindset will mean that you will challenge the status quo.
Your responsibilities
- Developing backend systems and interconnection to enterprise applications
- Develop Java and Python applications for the Catena-X consortium, its platform, modules and interfaces
- Drive constant exchange and coordination with the team, department and other project players
- Driving the modernization of the deployment setup, code base and architecture, with the aim of migrating to cloud-based solutions where reasonable
- Work in a highly professional international team on innovative and Open Source technologies.
Our requirements
- Bachelor or master's degree in computer science or similar qualification
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software development
- Technical competences:
- Java, Python
- REST backend services
- Azure Cloud
- GitHub (CI/CD), JIRA
- First Experience with cloud platforms are desirable (Azure/AWS/GCP); preferably in Azure;
- Well-founded knowledge of software development life cycle and some of the corresponding tools (GitHub, Maven);
- Good English verbal and written communication is a must;
- A great team player and a strong collaborator
Optional
- Mongo or Oracle databases knowledge
- Ability to administrate infrastructure components
- Knowledge of German is a plus but not mandatory
- Basic knowledge of DevOps / DevSecOps frameworks
- Linux Containers (Docker) knowledge
