    The Role

    Applied Intelligence NetReveal is a successful global technology business division of BAE Systems Applied Intelligence. With 2800+ employees with headquarters in Guildford, UK and major offices around the world. The NetReveal suite of solutions is deployed by leading banks, insurers and government organisations to prevent financial crime and ensure regulatory compliance. In addition to software development, sales and support functions, Applied Intelligence NetReveal provides consultancy and implementation services.

    This role will be based in our fast-growing regional delivery hub in Poznan.

    Customer Support operates as a global virtual team via a follow-the-sun process. Working as part of Global Customer Support team, the Application Support Engineer will be responsible for the provision of a quality production support service to clients.

    The Application Support Engineer is responsible for resolving incoming production support tickets. The Application Support Engineer ensures that a high quality service is delivered to customers and adheres to strict SLAs in an operational support environment.

    Essential technical skills

    • Java/J2EE
    • Good skill in any one of the following: Websphere, JBOSS, Weblogic
    • Oracle 9i or 10g
    • Unix, Linux or AIX
    • XML
    • SQL and PL"SQL


     

    What we are looking for
    We are looking for people with the following skills.

    • It is essential that you are fluent in both written and spoken English
    • Experience working in a customer support environment or equivalent
    • Experience working with customers in the financial services industry
    • Relational database experience and performance tuning
    • Strong knowledge of application servers e.g. IBM Websphere or Weblogic
    • Experience with Linux" Unix
    • Ability to juggle conflicting priorities and demands on time.
    • Strong analytical skills and experience in resolving challenging technical support issues
    • Good written and verbal communication skills
