Your responsibilities

  • Lead month end close for Order to Cash value stream: coordinate activities for AR including invoicing, review of journal entries, ensure all customer receipts are allocated against invoices, AR Aging reconciliations to balance sheet, explanations of any discrepancies and asses the need for bad debt provisions

  • Define and oversee credit control procedures to ensure that any overdue debts are resolved in a timely manner and ensure that customers are clearing outstanding debts within their agreed terms

  • Processing incoming payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures

  • Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, posting and recording accounts receivables’ data

  • Develop, implement and maintain systems, procedures, and policies; ensure policy and controls are enforced; make recommendations to improve, perform mitigating controls as required, and serve as the lead contact for internal and external audits in relation to AR

  • Interact with management and other departments for query resolution, obtaining approvals, and invoice processing

  • Ensure that corporate policies are maintained within the accounts Receivable function

Our requirements

  • 3-4 years of accounting experience

  • Bachelor or equivalent / higher education

  • Experience with ERP systems; Dynamics365 experience is preferred but not essential

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with strong knowledge of Excel

  • Experience of working with medium to large companies is preferred

  • Fluent English, both written and oral

  • Ability to build relationships with business partners and customers

  • Attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate results

  • Analytical mindset

  • Proactive approach and improvement-focused attitude​

  • Persistent, self-confident and professional in everyday interactions

NORTHVOLT was founded in Sweden in 2016 with the mission of building the greenest lithium-ion batteries in the world, with the lowest carbon footprint and the highest recyclability, to ensure the European transition to renewable energy. The NORTHVOLT team of experts is currently building a new generation lithium-ion cell factory in northern Sweden, focusing on process innovation, scale and vertical integration of processes. When completed, it will be the largest battery cell factory in Europe with an annual production capacity of 40 GWh.

Since 2018, the company has been operating in Poland under the name Northvolt Poland Sp. z o.o. The company was established to meet the growing demand for complete battery systems. Currently, Northvolt Poland plans to increase its production capacity by building a highly automated and state-of-the-art production plant.
