Your responsibilities

  • Is aware of store targets and actively works to meet or exceed these by using all the resources available inside and outside of the store

  • Organise all security required daily, along with special events and launches, to ensure the store site is secured and managed correctly at all times

  • Accountable for the end to end Cash Management and Cash Office processes, with the support of their team in order to manage all POS transactions and ensures they remain compliant and in line with policy

  • Accountable for the issuing of access control; alarms, store keys, user accounts and general systems for the store, with the support of their team in order to have an accurate log and account for the correct access issued for the correct roles

  • Carries out audits within the store for H&S Checks, Profit Protection including areas of risk that are escalated to line manager. Works to ensure that required checks are completed within own team, ensuring corrective actions are in place within the required time frame. Working with the appropriate business functions and colleagues to seek development, guidance and support

  • Contributes to the development of store team members through the management of Operational Training in areas such as Crisis Management, Business Continuity, House of Retail and internal systems. Briefing such changing developments to the store team and updating relevant training records

  • Supports all operational related investigations or disciplinaries cases with the support of the HR Team

  • With the support of their team ensures the correct and compliant up to date information is live within the Work Force Management Tool, in regard to hours worked for accurate SPH declaration and payroll spend, maximizing profit and flagging non-compliance

  • Manage complete stockroom operations, ensuring that processes are followed

  • With the support of their team ensures the secure storage of portable devices such as ipods and ipads at all times. Following the prescribed processes and keeps the information for access to apps such as endless aisle up to date so as to maintain appropriate security

  • Is seen as a confident and competent leader of general store operations and can support with general issues such as I.T or Facilities if or should the need arise. Training and coaching own team to also be able to deal with such issues

  • Provides strong leadership skills in order to guide and train own team on Store Operations and managing performance via the Company Performance Management system (#Mybest), with the support of HR Manager and line manager (where required)

  • To assist the Line Manager with additional duties when reasonably requested and where necessary within the defined levels of responsibility and accountability of the role to support the store

  • Adapts communication style to service both internal and external consumers dependent on the situation

  • Flexibly adapts approach to accommodate the needs of multiple internal and external consumers at the same time

  • Deals professionally with difficult situations

  • Uses retail and commercial expertise to drive overall store sales by prioritising the consumer and brand at all times

  • Supports team by actively helping where required by line manager

  • Is thorough and detail oriented

  • Prior People Management Experience, working as part of a team.

Our requirements

  • Minimum 5 years work experience in a sports/fashion customer- and commercial-focused retail environment with advanced process knowledge and experience, with thorough retail industry understanding

  • Intermediate numeracy and literacy and advanced verbal communication skills

  • Minimum 2 years experience in an Operational role

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:

Responsible for maximizing the profitability of the Brand Flagship Store by contributing towards and supporting with all Compliance Based Operations and Processes creating a model environment for best practice:

• Collaborating, Creatively and Confidently to contribute to the day to day Operation of the Brand Flagship Store using the House of Retail and other initiatives to provide a premium in-store consumer experience

• Implements, drives and reviews Operational Compliance based ways of working through the assistance of Global and Market level Operational Directives to balance brand with profit for own team and Store

• Managing Stockroom Operations with particular focus on product and consumer service in line with brand image
