Delivery BAU IFRS9 processes relation to regions and group including control monitoring and review
Ability to provide a proactive focus on risk/issue identification and mitigation, recognizing where MI should be escalated for further review
Support credit risk analysis and speed up the analysis process using ‘out of the box’ ideas on solution development
Support development of new credit analysis solutions using analytics tools like SAS, Python and MI tools like QlikSense, Tab and similar tools
Have ability to analysis and synthesize numbers and present to senior stakeholders
Ability to effectively work with global and regional teams in risk, finance and relevant transformation functions where needed
Work experience in financial institution of 6+ years
Bachelor’s degree IT or in numerate subject, e.g. mathematics/ statistics/ economics or equivalent experience; Master’s degree preferred
Basic knowledge of SAS programming (SAS Base, SAS Enterprise Guide) preferable
Understanding of credit risk impairments and the credit risk impairment process or alternatively of RWA/stress testing processes an advantage
Previous experience in credit risk, preferably modelling and IFRS 9 experience, preferable
Basic knowledge of SAS programming (SAS Base, SAS Enterprise Guide) and/or python preferable
Experience with data quality issues and mitigation
Ability to work and develop MI solutions like QlikSense
Business knowledge of credit and market risk will be preferred
Strong communication skills and out of box thinking is essential

Wholesale Credit and Market Risk (WMR) department within HBEU measures and monitors global credit and market risks arising from lending and trading activities as well as providing credit approval for corporates, financial institution and sovereign exposures. The team is engaged in a lot of European regulatory reporting and senior management reporting and analysis deliverables that are spread across EU countries on a need basis. The aim is to bring all these tasks together as one team and deliver them in a centralized and standardized manner.
The Analyst will work with the group or regional sub-teams and will work with the wider team in delivering BAU IFRS9 processes. IFRS 9 Financial Instrument is the most significant risk and accounting change since the initial adoption of IFRS, and one of the most significant changes in credit risk measurement since Basel II. The role will support credit risk analysis and review of Impairment numbers including relevant portfolio level analysis of ECL, PD, LGD and other metrics.
