Within the first year the role holder will support significant work on risk mitigation in this highly complex work where most of the processes were recently migrated. As part of this, role holder is expected to own, manage, communicate the progress of the multiple risk mitigation areas with a program management rigor, escalating issues in time for necessary management intervention and resolution.
Role holder will support the Site Lead on initiatives aimed at improving customer experience, embedding operational rigors and enabling zero surprise operations. Ability to identify issue prone process areas and be able to overlay an operational plan of action to address will be a valuable skill. This will mean working on multiple initiatives parallely and retaining the focus to deliver in time. The person is expected to have an evolved planning, organising and execution skill. He/she should be willing to roll-up the sleeves and work with a direct hands-on approach. Person should have the gravitas to lead teams on the back of value-add brought to the table, than a formal reporting line
Role holder is expected to work independently when required to work on assigned areas, identify opportunities, challenge conventional thinking and then shape, prioritise and drive the execution of initiatives with a focus on delivering the desired customer, colleague, operational and financial outcomes. Enable a best in class client experience while actively contributing to risk mitigation initiatives.
Ability to deliver under significant pressure to strict timelines
Understands drivers to deliver zero surprise operations that meet business needs
Strong project management skills
Be able to demonstrate strong commitment to service excellence in current role
Expert level awareness on operational risk. Ability to discover risks through diagnostics and remediation of identified risks
Proven track record of demonstrating excellent problem solving skills and ability to use the matrix effectively to resolve issues
Be able to think through, problem solve, prioritise, and handle difficult situations with pragmatism, common sense and empathy
Demonstrable experience of challenging the status quo, processes and operations in order to deliver an enhanced client experience
Able to deliver difficult messages and remain calm under pressure
Strong influencing and negotiation skills with excellent written and oral presentation skills
Trade finance experience
Previous experience in operational risk management
