ABOUT THE PROJECT Wealth & Private Banking – Chief Technology Office– Business Automation Technology (WPB CTO BAT)

WPB CTO BAT team within HSBC Technology Poland is positioned as a nearshore location for European countries, widely supported by the bigger offshore teams on deliveries. Team is helping to build, implement and maintain new initiatives and systems mainly for the internal HSBC employees in EU region. We are building new internal solutions and enabling local businesses to strive and meet not only regulatory demands but also their growth agenda. Being located in Technology Centre is a strong enabler for EU region as team is playing role of a bridge between in-country IT teams and other technology teams within HSBC. Our products cover multiple aspects and areas – digital signature, workflow, content management, process streamlining and automation. All this is achieved with high level of autonomy and ability to choose our path and technology direction we would like to implement in the EU countries. We are seeking new team members who would help to guide and support the delivery teams on number of projects, help us to evolve technologically and bring new technologies and technical capabilities to the stakeholders and EU business.

Your responsibilities

  • Managing the project approach, building project plan, organizing delivery teams up to commitments and changes

  • Supporting Technology teams to manage delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, resourcing, dependencies, communications and budgets

  • Managing, monitoring and reporting progress, issues, dependencies and risks to management, internal stakeholders and/or steering committees.

  • Organize and take part and drive meetings concerning project activities

  • Track, monitor and report project progress to the relevant stakeholders

  • Identify and escalate potential risks and issues

  • Control changes

  • Support governance of the projects by creating Clarity reporting , project demand vs supply etc.

  • Generate and update necessary documents on ongoing basis (including requirements specifications, schedules, meeting agendas, meeting minutes and status reports)

  • Run and control the engagement process and rope in teams from Krakow and other tech centres to support delivery based on cooperation with multiple teams

  • Assure adequate communication and timely management information to all project workstreams

  • Ensure adherence to standard controls and drive teams to achieve compliance and framework security controls and technology architecture designs

Our requirements

  • Excellent English language communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Understanding of project lifecycle

  • Experience in Project Management methodology

  • Effective inter-personal communication and negotiation skills

  • Strong analytical skills and lateral thinking

  • Self- organized

  • Ability to work in a team of a diversified international environment

  • Ability to work efficiently and independently

  • Some experience in Project Management in Financial world

  • Technical literacy and strong understanding of technical processes

Optional

  • PMP/Prince2 or relevant knowledge or certification

  • Confluence experience in PM practices

Job Description

We are looking for an Associate IT Project Manager to help us build, deliver and run our agile software development team. As Associate you will be helping to improve and implement HSBC’s regional strategic agenda and simplification/automation across the region, help driving implementation of various initiatives in the region and help linking various teams in order to enable smooth and fast delivery. Your role will be to drive, lead and deliver various initiatives& projects, process simplification, adoption of good practices. It would also be required from you to be ready for nonstandard projects. Among other role’s objectives is accurate usage of tooling/processes and proper report MIs / KPIs and status reports around projects. We are looking for someone who is entry level IT PM and who would be mainly running engagement process and roping in teams from Krakow and other tech centres to support delivery based on cooperation with multiple teams. Role owner should have good understanding of the technical aspects of software delivery processes/lifecycles as well as should have experience and capability in managing stakeholders and communication. Ability to grasp quickly the subject as there might be many items at the same time to be taken care off. He/ She will need to gain a solid understanding of the existing processes, system flows and components currently in use.
