Associate Product Manager – Central Product Governance
Location: Kraków

Global Private Banking (GPB) team is dedicated to implementing the GPB strategy to be the leading international Private Bank for business owners and their families, leveraging Group capabilities to enable core HSBC clients and the Next Gen clients to grow, manage and preserve their wealth, thus playing a key role in the Group’s universal banking model.

Your responsibilities would be to:

  • Managing the Discretionary Services collateral for PBGB and GPBCI
  • Operating regular detective control monitoring in relation to the Discretionary Services for PBGB and GPBCI
  • Producing regular Management Information in relation to the Discretionary Services for PBGB and GPBCI
  • Processing and checking subscriptions made to Private Equity and Real Estate funds
  • Processing periodic returns in relation to various products
  • Performing periodic and ad hoc asset permissibility checks in respects of various account types
  • Maintaining up to date desk instruction manuals
  • Assisting with managing internal reviews in relation to various products and assist in addressing internal control findings as a result of any such reviews
  • Assisting with secretariat responsibilities for various governance fora, including but not limited to, Product Control Committee, Product Oversight Committee, Third Party Product Provider Oversight Committee. Responsibility for significant aspects of the Discretionary Services ongoing product management in PBGB and GPBCI
  • Responsibility for significant aspects of the monitoring and oversight of the entire PBGB and GPBCI Discretionary offering (model and bespoke) including tailored one off models outside of PBGB and GPBCI asset allocation, including the associated governance committee reporting PUBLIC - 2
  • Checking account instrument holding compliance for various product types, including but not limited to offshore bonds and pension accounts
  • Ownership of all required process/procedural amendments for relevant product lines 
  • Assist, as required, with overall Product Development and Management team projects
  • Quarterly production of GPB KRI reporting and local KRI reporting and checks of existing and new accounts which have permitted asset restrictions in place
  • Ongoing production of Discretionary Mandate monitoring output, including investment restriction reports and uninvested cash monitoring
  • Assisting with the completion of risk and/or audit corrective action items relating to the PBGB and GPBCI products and services proposition
  • Pro-actively work with the PBGB and GPBCI Product Management and Development team to support maintaining a robust control environment in respect of the various product suites
  • Pro-actively work with business function representatives and stakeholders from GPB, PBGB & GPBCI to achieve resolution to issues identifies as part of the control monitoring process
  • Pro-actively work with all business functions to ensure effective product line risk and control business oversight and management
  • Working very closely with the PBGB and GPBCI Product Development and Management team to ensure the effective management and oversight of relevant product lines and effective rollout and continuation of risk and control initiatives

What is expect of you:

  • 3 years + experience in a financial services environment
  • Experience in a Product Management or Processing role
  • Strong and proven ability to work effectively as part of a virtual team
  • Highly organised with attention to detail
  • Highly adaptable with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of Front to Back processes
  • Strong understanding of internal control principles
  • Aptitude to engage a diverse group of stakeholders to deliver at pace
  • The role requires strong time management skills and a flexible work ethic that is always cognizant of key strategic deliverables that are core to the short, medium and longer term business growth, streamlining and simplification plans
