Your responsibilities
- Keen willingness to continually develop technical data analytics and process mining skills
- Seek new and innovative ways to automate or digitalise audit work
- Develop more specialist knowledge of a specific HSBC business or function with deep subject matter expertise on applicable data sources, structures, meta-data, etc.
- Conduct fieldwork covering processes using complex modelling, advanced analytics and AI.
- Design, build, and deliver data analytics, process mining and other digital solutions to meet the needs of Audit;
- Follow an agile, iterative, adaptive approach during the development/delivery of audit technology solutions to meet the timely needs of Audit and add the most value;
- Committed Team Player that upholds and delivers allocated assignments and helps others as needed to achieve common objectives.
- Effective communication and ability to maintain constructive relationships with HSBC business and IT stakeholders, and ability to use these relationships to drive easier access to data.
- Actively promote collaboration and sharing of ideas across the Analytics community in GIA.
- Effectively discuss potentially challenging matters and ability to communicate with impact and articulated in a meaningful way to wide and varied audiences.
- Coach less experienced members of the team and participate in delivering technical training across the function.
Our requirements
- 2 – 5 years relevant work experience in the Financial Services Sector, consultancy, and external audit will be considered, but is not always essential.
- Experience with some or all of the following: ML libraries (esp. Spark or TensorFlow), Cloud MLOps, Python, R, SQL, Celonis, KNIME and other analytics tools and languages.
- Data analytics, programming, quantitative, technology skills, qualifications or certifications.
- Experience with command prompt, Git/GitHub
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in science, technology, engineering and mathematics/statistics.
- Fluency in English.
- Willingness to travel.
- Mature team player who is highly professional.
- Analytical and critical thinker, who can effectively manage competing priorities and complex challenges to deliver positive outcomes.
- Resourcefulness navigating IT and business practices across the company to keep initiatives and efforts on plan;
- Apply qualitative and quantitative methods to analyze and investigate challenging scenarios and situations.
- Produce smart, simple, and pragmatic solutions.

We are currently seeking an individual to join our team in the role of Audit Manager - Analytics to deliver assigned work, and where applicable, lead the design and delivery of data analytics and process mining output to support audit. The Internal Auditor – Analytics will:
• Be a proactive team player, who leads by example and works constructively across GIA.
• Deliver quality work within the given timeframes, standards, methodology, budget, and best practices.
• Confirm accuracy of work and make sure that outputs are clearly understood and documented.
The base location for this role is Krakow, and Global Internal Audit operates a hybrid working model with flexible working options available.
