Objectives

Damovo is looking to expand the Operations team in our Global Network Operations Centre. Reporting to the technical team leader, this is an exciting opportunity for an Avaya engineer to join a dynamic and growing global IT organization. This role will support our international customers and will therefore be required to work 24/7 shifts.   

The successful candidate will have a broad knowledge of networking and/or telephony systems. This position offers the opportunity to gain exposure to ever advancing UC and networking technologies, working with market leading technology partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong emphasis on maintaining the following Avaya Aura Telephony and Contact Center systems:
    • Avaya Communication Manager
    • Avaya System Manager
    • Avaya Session Manager
    • Avaya Call Management Systems
  • Providing incident and change management support for our customers across the globe on Avaya, Mitel and Cisco UC solutions
  • Providing an engineering response to service requests
  • Leading UC and telephony system maintenance checks
  • Diagnosing and resolving complex software, hardware and usage issues
  • Maintaining all relevant service management system tickets, inventory and other data
  • Assisting the presales function in designing and delivering client solutions
  • Ensuring incidents, service requests and maintenance tasks are managed within customer SLAs
  • Applying all company and departmental policies, procedures and work instructions to daily tasks and proactively contributing to improving these where possible

Experience and skills we are looking for:

  • 2 years’ experience working as a Voice Engineer or on a Service Desk
  • Adaptable working approach with a clear focus on customer service
  • Creative with the ability to demonstrate a logical approach to problem solving whilst building rapport and maintaining excellent customer relations
  • Excellent documentation and reporting skills
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage inputs from a range of disciplines and to agree delivery programmes
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and deliver support within customer SLA’s
  • Teamwork orientated individual with the ability to add to a positive team dynamic and openly share best practice, whilst also being able to work on your own initiative and lead in aspects of work when required
  • An excellent level of written/spoken English and Polish is required

An understanding of the following would be advantageous:

  • Cisco and Mitel VOIP telephony
  • SIP and ISDN technologies
  • Networks and VPN
  • VMware
  • Good IT Infrastructure background
