Your responsibilities
Ensuring items related to NFR Risk Framework & Compliance risk stewardship are managed, administered, and communicated effectively to key stakeholders.
Support the development, maintenance, use and adoption of the NFR Risk Framework across the Compliance Function for both RC and FC Risk Stewards.
Support to the Compliance Function in understanding their roles and responsibilities within the NFR risk framework and the practical application of this in their activities day-to-day and their interactions with the 1LOD.
Support to the specialist teams within the compliance function, including policy owners of the application of the NFR risk framework to the design of their policies and the implementation of these within the first line of defence.
Support to the specialist teams within RC and FC responsible for the application of the NFR risk framework to the relevant risk taxonomy and control libraries of the RC Risk Taxonomy and Control Library, including strengthening links to Policy Owners and Risk Stewards.
Analysis of information and read across on the use of Compliance and NFR Risk Management tools across GBLs and Regions to support oversight and use and adoption activity.
Support to the Global Head of Risk Stewardship in interactions with operational risk and the NFR optimisation (NFRO) program in the development of further design elements of the risk framework and its practical application to the compliance function and teams and the first line of defence.
Work with the Global Compliance Risk Framework team in supporting the design of specific training and communications to the compliance function in relation to the risk framework, in interactions with the NFRO programme deliverables for training and communications including the development and upkeep of the Risk Stewardship Responsibilities SharePoint site
Support the assessment of how effectively Compliance Risk Stewards are using the NFR for oversight and to challenge the 1LOD management of Compliance risks.
Our requirements
Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
Knowledge and understanding of 1) Operational Risk Management in Banking and/or other Financial Service organisation, 2) RC and FC risk management, 3) The global regulatory environment and key compliance risk trends.
Proven involvement in the implementation of change across multiple teams and locations.
Excellent analytical, inter-personal and organizational skills required to contribute to the development of appropriate communications and training materials.
Good proficiency with MS Office, (MS Word, MS Excel and MS Power Point).
Strong relationship management skills (experience liaising with various stakeholders, including senior management).
A highly motivated and dynamic self-starter, working collaboratively within teams, delivering on time and with a strong attention to detail.
Ability to support decisions with sound reasoning, an evidence base and to clearly articulate the findings and implications of analysis.
Team Lead/Team manager experience would be an added advantage.
Optional
Experience within the HSBC Non-Financial Risk Management framework and Risk, Finance and Global Research would be an added advantage.
Experience of testing, regulation compliance, Internal Audit/ Conducting Root Cause Analysis.
Project planning and reporting.
Understanding of UK regulatory structure would be an added advantage.
Use of SharePoint and HELIOS systems.
Excellent project management & documentation skills.
Ability to work within a matrix environment, including reporting internationally.
Sound judgment and problem-solving skills, ability to think laterally.
Team Lead/Team manager experience would be an added advantage.

About the project
The Global Compliance Risk Framework AVP is a key role, responsible for supporting the embedding of the use of the Operational Risk Framework to manage Compliance (both RC and FC) risks. This role will contribute to the education of Compliance colleagues and assessment of RC and FC Risk Stewards’ use of the Non-Financial (NFR) Risk Framework. It will also have responsibility for supporting the maintenance of processes and the embedding of tools used in the Risk Stewardship of Compliance risks.
