Your responsibilities

  • Managing the requirements and quality of translations on our consumer facing transactional websites including product data and all digital touchpoints

  • Responsibility for the end-to-end coordination and execution of content translations across multiple languages for various styles of text including factual, creative, bullet points etc

  • Ensuring the translation agency delivers outstanding quality of work, have an eye for detail always striving for excellence in output

  • Managing budgets and the relationship with the translation agency, developing the partnership and optimizing costs, processes and timelines

  • Building an optimal process for multiple requests from internal teams, manage all stakeholders and ensure deadlines and quality are met

  • Working with agency to build up the memory bank and create efficiencies

  • Creating streamlined workflows and manage expectations across functions

  • Implementing and managing translation automation where possible, developing and ensuring translation standards

  • Identifying, onboarding and managing external translation service vendors to supplement translation needs and volume

  • Developing an internal Service Level Agreement for translation services and ensuring delivery in accordance with SLA with the appropriate metrics and measures.

Our requirements

  • Expertise in managing and executing consumer facing translations in Digital and e-Commerce across multiple European markets

  • Experience of 5 to 10 years in the translation field within agency or industry working in multiple languages

  • Strong budget management and agency liaison skills

  • Understand the difference between creative and factual translations

  • Knowledge and experience with translation software, machine translation and automation

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with confident and effective communication (written and verbal)

  • Highly service-oriented with exceptional organizational and follow up skills

  • Personality that thrives in a fast-paced environment and fits in an agile company culture

  • Knowledge of the automotive sector and industry an asset

  • Professional proficiency in English

  • Speaking multiple languages is desirable.

ROLE OVERVIEW:

An exciting new role within a brand new team, the Translations Manager will help shape and deliver LKQ Europe’s ambitious Omnichannel plans and become the leading Automotive Aftermarket player in B2C. The Translations Manager will lead and manage our European Digital and e-Commerce translation requirements, working with an external agency and managing internal stakeholders across multiple functions and regions.
