Your Role and Responsibilities

Develop front-end applications
Develop back-end portions of web services
Create and talk to REST services
Ability to shift between multiple projects and technologies
Writing clean code and testing it throughout the development process to ensure the quality is up to standards
Working on software that is used by millions of people all around the world is a challenge you’re willing to take
Working time: As you will be working directly with team in US working time is adjusted to US time zone. It is 11am – 7pm CET, with some flexibility if needed.

Requirements:

• Passion for building cloud-native, highly-available applications
• 3+ years of professional software development experience using Java 8 or above
• Experience developing RESTful applications based on Spring 5 (Spring Boot)
• Understanding of cloud deployment using Docker, Helm and Kubernetes
• Experience with Java testing frameworks (JUnit 5, Mockito)
• Hands-on experience working in a unix-based environment
• Familiarity with Github / Jenkins and CI/CD
• Familiarity with event-driven, reactive architectures based on Kafka
• Experience in Agile projects: Scrum, Kanban
• Experience with Jira
• Willing to take ownership, write useful documentation, share knowledge, get things done attitude

Nice-to-have:

• Basic knowledge of databases like Redis, CouchDB, Cassandra is a bonus
• Exposure to application monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, PagerDuty
• Understanding application security, secret management, privacy by design
