    Description:

    The Global Markets BC&E (Brokerage, Clearing and Exchange) Control Team is looking for a financial controller to join the team in Wroclaw, Poland.

    We offer:

    The purpose of the role is to provide high quality analysis, reporting and control across the banks transaction costs. The role requires a detail orientated approach with a focus on data analysis, month end control, reporting and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively at all levels.

    • Month end review and control of BCE expenses
    • Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation & Substantiation
    • Ensure correct accounting of cash and payables balances
    • Collaboration with other BC&E teams in order to ensure adequate flow of information and relationship building
    • Assist with project related tasks/requests from Senior Management
    • Research variances and ensure data integrity
    • Process development, re-engineering as required

    Open to discussing flexible/agile working.

    Qualifications:

    • You have 2-4 years of financial accounting or control background
    • Deep understanding of accounting concepts (accruals, pre-payments, balance sheet, etc)
    • You are qualified or Part Qualified accountant preferred but not essential
    • You are phenomenal teammate with ability to meet tight deadlines through prioritization and planning. Flexibility and ability to work under pressure
    • You have excellent interpersonal skills as well as English communication skills both oral and written
    • You have structured analytical approach and organisational skills
    • Exceptional MS Excel skills and MS Office applications. Hyperion Essbase, Business Objects, MS Access would be a plus
    • You have attention to detail, analytical skills and you are able to quickly recognise anomalies and control issues
